PRESS RELEASE – Minister for Education, Innovation, Gender Relations and Sustainable Development Hon. Dr. Gale Rigobert, along with the entire education community, extend sincere condolences to the family and friends of Joanne Wilfred – a student of the Soufriere Comprehensive Secondary School, who met her untimely death last week.
The Ministry on Friday September 09, 2016 received the sad news of the passing of this avid sportsperson, who represented her school and country in the sport of netball. In fact Joanne, who resided in the community of Canaries, had just completed a training session with her school’s netball team when she met her untimely end.
The Ministry extends heartfelt sympathies to the community of Canaries, as well as, staff and students of the Soufriere Comprehensive Secondary School, assuring that it will do all that is possible to mitigate the grief of the family and loved ones at this difficult time.
