(PRESS RELEASE) – SLUDTERA would like to inform its readers and followers that The Entrepreneurship World Cup is open for 2020 and is accepting applications from around the world and that includes St. Lucia. The EWC 2020 is offering US$1 Million in cash prizes, US$75 Million in-kind support!
The EWC is aiming to expand beyond the 102,000 contestants from 187 countries in its first year. The program offers a chance to pitch on a global stage for a share of US$1 million in cash prizes plus additional investment opportunities and another US$75 million in in-kind support.
But EWC is more than just a global pitch competition with a shot at life-changing prizes. It elevates entrepreneurs from all stages — idea-stage, early-stage, growth-stage or beyond – by providing them with tools and resources to grow their venture.
EWC Accelerates is a virtual training and mentorship program that helps entrepreneurs hone their skills and increase their chances of winning their national competitions – as well as those who advance to the Global Finals. Through the EWC platform, participants will have access to an exclusive content library with information relevant to their current stage of the journey, including:
-pitching and deck creation;
-customer feedback and product development; and
-team building and company culture.
The EWC platform also offers all contestants who complete their applications access to more than $25,000 in perks from partners such as Google Cloud, Hubspot, Stripe and more.
The Entrepreneurship World Cup is hosted by Misk Global Forum, Global Entrepreneurship Network and the Global Education and Leadership Foundation. It is supported by a range of global partners, including organizations running EWC National Finals on every continent.
National Finals competitions are held through June 2020. The Global Finals are scheduled for October 2020 in Riyadh.

In 2019, a St. Lucian startup Entrepreneur participated in the Entrepreneurship World Cup and made it the global finals where he went up against 99 other of the most competitive innovators in the world.
Though he did not win, we are glad to have a St. Lucian make their mark on such a competition. SLUDTERA is more than confident that another St. Lucian can make it to the finals in October this year!
