PRESS RELEASE – The Ministry of Education, Innovation, Gender Relations and Sustainable Development is set to host the annual National Schools` Science and Technology Fair from Wednesday 29th to Friday 31st March, 2017, at the Derek Walcott Square under the theme “Science and Technology: The Catalyst for a Sustainable Future”.
The National Schools` Science and Technology Fair, which is being executed through the Curriculum and Materials Development Unit (CAMDU), will highlight the top projects from the eight (8) educational districts where infant, primary, secondary and tertiary students will be displaying their exhibits for 3 days.
The fair not only allows students to use critical thinking to solve everyday problems, but it also gives them an avenue to explore their imagination and to be innovative and creative. The event is open to the public from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily.
The opening ceremony will be take place at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday 29th March and the prize giving ceremony will be held on Friday 31st March from 2:00 p.m.
