St. Lucian students studying in Taiwan continues to excel

2016-08-03 07_24_49-_SAINT LUCIAN STUDENTS STUDYING IN TAIWAN CONTINUES TO EXCELL - slunewsonline@gmPRESS RELEASE – On Monday July 25, 2016, three Saint Lucian Medical students currently studying at I- SHOU School of Medicine participated in the White coat ceremony which signify their successful completion of the class room aspect of their program and their graduation to the clinical phase of their study programe where they will be attached at the ADA University Hospital for the next 2 years.

The 3 students are Kishna Ferdinand, Keva Joseph and Nola Rene.

This year’s ceremony follows a similar one last year where the first batch of 7 Saint Lucian students were handed their white coats and apparatus signifying the commencement of their clinical phase of their program at the ADA University Hospital.

The first batch of 7 students is expected to complete all aspect of their program and graduate as Medical Doctors in July of 2017. There are currently 17 students from St Lucia currently studying medicine in Taiwan.

Meantime, 17 students from Saint Lucia graduated in various disciplines at various institutions here in Taiwan over the past few weeks, with some of them receiving special awards for outstanding performances. Some at the Bachelor’s and some at the Masters levels.
