PRESS RELEASE – The 2017 Taiwan Fellowship is open to on-line application (website: http://taiwanfellowship.ncl.edu.tw). Starting from 1st May, 2016. Printed application form along with other supporting information should be delivered to the Embassy by the date of 24th June, 2016.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of China (Taiwan) encourages Saint Lucian government officials, experts and scholars who are interested in researching topics related to Taiwan such as the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), East China Sea and South China Sea security, Cross Taiwan Strait relations, the Asian Pacific studies and Sinology to pursue advanced studies at Taiwan’s universities or research institutions in 2017. The duration of the fellowship ranges from three months to maximum one year.
The Fellowship recipients will be entitled to one direct round trip economy-class ticket subsidized between Saint Lucia to Taiwan and will be granted monthly stipends.
Applicants should submit the following documents to the Embassy:
- Application form;
- Resume (including a publication list);
- Research proposal (Three pages in principle using a standard research format); and
- Two letters of recommendation, or one letter of recommendation and one letter of consent from the chief administration of their institutes.
For Saint Lucia government officials who are interested in the Fellowship programs, the approval documents from the Training Division of the Ministry of the Public Services, Sustainable Development, Energy, Science and Technology will be needed for the application.
