PRESS RELEASE - On May 17, 2015, Prime Minister Dr. Kenny Anthony was the commencement speaker at the 82nd Graduation Ceremony for the University of the Southern Caribbean.
He began his address by reminding the graduates that the day is about them and not the political issues going on in the country. He took the liberty to make special mention of the twelve St. Lucians graduating and congratulated them on their achievements.
He also made note of the satellite center which the University of the Southern Caribbean will be opening in St. Lucia in August and stated that it was good news for St. Lucia and U.S.C.
Dr.Anthony encouraged the graduating class to use their inner strength, intellect and spirit to do well and never tire in doing good. In closing he told them to carry their candle and go light the world.
After the ceremony Dr.Anthony met with the St. Lucian students who were present and listened to their concerns. He gave insight and advice to the students before leaving Trinidad for St. Lucia.
