PRESS RELEASE - Musician and singer sensation Teddyson John recently commenced his school initiative’ Ignite That Passion’ throughout the islands’ secondary schools.
In recent visits to the Sir Ira Simmons Secondary School and St. Joseph’s Convent, TJ’s message is clear; choose to live a passionate life!
The programme will continue throughout the school year and is specifically targeted at music students throughout the islands secondary school. Through these sessions, Teddyson has one-on-one interactions with the students through a range of open and thought-provoking discussions.
Some of the topics include pursuing a professional music career, types of careers in music, the importance of discipline to the art but most importantly finding passion and pursing it.
In recognizing the uncertainly with which kids leave school about career choices TJ encourages students to not fall victim to the status quo and conventional jobs, but rather embark on a remarkably fulfilling career but more so a fulfilling life.
On the topic of ‘Passion’ the message goes further as TJ explains to students that “You don’t need to tie passion to one single activity or thing. Passion is a form of energy inside of you, and you can choose to bring it out at any point in time. You just need to figure out how. And once you do that it all falls into place almost magically.”
On commenting on his decision to embark on this journey with students “There is so much talent among our young people and I wanted to encourage them to channel their energies into something positive and to not hold back on what they have to share with the world.”
As TJ and his team continue to work towards 2015, fans and supporters can expect a plethora of high quality music, more philanthropic work and community involvement and of course an explosive concert. Undoubtedly, the brand of ‘Love.Passion.Music.’ is increasingly becoming infectious not just in the realm of the music world but in the community at large.
