(St. Lucia News Online) — Prime Minister Allen Chastanet has urged the nation’s parents and guardians to take time out to speak to their children about COVID-19.
“Talking to your children about COVID-19 is a very important part of this battle,” Chastanet said on Facebook Monday.
He said the virus has caused many persons in Saint Lucia to be fearful, stressed and uncomfortable over the uncertainty and changes in their daily lives.
He noted that these developments must not be taken for granted and “it no doubt also applies to our nation’s children”.
“Please take some time to listen, be honest, and most importantly be supportive. Be available for your children and make that time matter,” the prime minister said.
