(PRESS RELEASE VIA SNO) – Violence – especially amongst young people; especially involving knives – has dominated the headlines in an alarming way.

At the time this post was made, six people were killed in the space of seven days. By the time you read this press release, it’s likely that this number has more than doubled. Something needs to be done.

Something needs to change and this change begins with you (yes, you!).

You have a choice.

Choose to say no to violence.
Choose to say no to knife crime.
Choose to say no to senseless killing.
Choose to be different;
choose to make the difference;
choose life.

No matter what your background is, life – no matter what it may throw at you – is worth living and this is why we choose to march.

The march will start from the Derek Walcott Square heading to the Town Hall and there youths will perform songs and dances. Prayers will be made for Family and friends that one day lost a loved one by crime.

Sunday 26th of August at the Town Hall in Castries – 1PM – Saint Lucia
