teamr8PRESS RELEASE – On May 27th, 2017, the National Youth Council will host its general assembly to elect a new executive.

Team Regenr8, a group of well qualified and experience youth with a mandate and vision to take the NYC forward will be offering themselves to serve the youth population of St. Lucia.

The new executive will look after the interests of youth for the 2017 to 2019 term. Team Regenr8 whose theme is Long Term Involvement will implement strategies to engage the grassroots organisations in order to strengthen the District Youth and Sports Councils and by extension the National Youth Council.

The representatives are sitting NYC General Secretary Dianthea Justin, Former NYC Assistant General Secretary now vying for 1st Vice President, Kim Cayol, Youth Advocate and Community Leader Kirby Sydney for the role of President and youth leader and former DTEEA (Division of Teacher Education and Educational Administration) Students Council President Chaddie Faucher contesting the PRO position.

Team Regenr8 will unveil its Manifesto and Action Plan to rebuild the credibility of the NYC and to give the youth of St. Lucia the voice and representation they need on Monday 8th May 2017, at the Youth and Sports Conference Room from 10am.

This will be done in the form of a media press conference and present will be a cross section of District Youth and Sports Council representatives, Clubs, uniformed groups and affiliates.

Team Regenr8 would like to encourage the various DYSC’s to rally their delegates to be part of the election process to ensure the best crop of youth make up the new mandate for the National Youth Council.
